Threadheads will get some attention....

I can catch up on my reading and start designing!

I can hone my hooking skills!

Grannies can be crocheted!

Samplers will get stitched!
Yarn will get more attention....
and fun garments will be knit!

Intricate quilts will be pieced!

Socks will be knit!! Oh the SOCKS that will be KNIT!

Ridiculous handwork projects will finally be started and Liberty of London will finally get used!

Quilt tops will turn in to quilts!

and that artsy fartsy side of me can be tapped!

I know...it's just an extra day.....but I see so many possibilities! I'm hopeful this will translate in to less stress.....which will mean more creative progress throughout the week, AND on that one extra day!
What would YOU do with one extra day?
*Peace!

Congratulations!!! That's exciting! Of course not as good as quitting, but still. :D I love all the pics -- such pretty colors and projects and all! What is that in the first pic?! More French General?! Is this something else she's coming out with? I still have to get the Rural Jardins yet! (Which hasn't come out yet, right?)
Have fun with your extra day! I think you know what I'd do with an extra day. More stitching! Or quilting, or knitting or, ......
Oh I know of what you speak, Kim! An extra day is a wonderful thing. I started that when our son (now 20) started kindergarten. It's good to find some balance!
You are a woman of many talents! I was awed to look at all the different crafts that you can do! Way to go!
One more free day and look at all the things you plan on doing!! You're a wild woman!!!!!!
WOOHOOOO, KIMMMMMERS!!!! I can't WAIT to see all the projects you'll be turning out! It may be one day of only 24 hours, but imagine all the inspiration that will come of it! 'Tis grand!! :)
And oh my, oh my, oh my... the fabrics in that first picture. Excuse me, but what are they???? ;)
Paulette
YEAH!!! for You! I look forward to all you endevours that will be posted for us to enjoy!!!
An extra day... hmmm... I really don't know.
I'm happy for you... it will relieve some stress for sure!
Good for you Kim. That's really good news for you. I retired over 3 years ago so I got 5 extra days off...and boy have I used them. Stitching, knitting, quilting, hooking, shopping, napping, eating, collecting...just simply everything I want to do! It's a good life. Can't wait to see your wips and finishes. Have a simply fabulous 3-day weekend!! Hugs
Congratulations!! You are living my dream.
Oh, you lucky one, you!! This was a week from hell for me, too. What I wouldn't give to retire - but it scares me financially, so not yet. But that is not to take away your joy - I'm happy for you and can't wait to see what ELSE you can accomplish with another day ;-). Like the idea of your giveaway, but will wait to try for something I love!
Kim, I am so very happy for you. How exciting to be one step closer to your goal. And so many wonderful projects waiting in the wings.
Way to go!! There are many weeks that I would love to have one extra day - especially if I could have it all to myself for my stitchy things!! Not that I do quite the variety that you do! You rock!
It's not quitting but three day weekends every weekend are still wonderful :-)! Huge congrats, that's so great. Can't wait to see what all you get accomplished.
I would either stitch or hang out with my DH and parents. Both are always fun for me ;-).
I have a funny feeling that you're going to get so much accomplished with your extra day! Totally not working would be great, but now there is still the income to keep adding to all that wonderful stash that you have. You have so many great talents, I can't wait to see all the crafty goodness you put out with your extra day!! Hmmmm, that quilt looks familiar! LOL Did you pop that CD in yet??
Oh, how exciting! Congratulations!
If I had an extra day, it would be spent creatively, I love to paint, stitch and craft. No TV or computer either!
You go girl!!
You've certainly got lots of great hobbies to keep you busy! Enjoy!
Yeah for you! Hope you get all of those wonderful projects finished! You should stay busy.
Wow sounds exciting. I hope it all works out for you.
Yay, KK!! A three-day-weekend every week!? WONDERFUL!! I cannot complain about my job; but even so, a three-day-weekend every week would be grand! More time to collect STUFF that I would need four-day weekends to get done. lol! MM
Congratulations, enjoy your three day weekends
Oh for 3-day weekends! You're gonna love life! You'll be happy doing a number of any one of your projects! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Woot...woot... great news! I know you will put that extra day to very creative use. Enjoy!
Congratulations! I was just saying the other day that I'd love a 3 day weekend every week. I'm glad you're getting yours!
Lucky duck....sounds like you will need those 4 days at work to recuperate from your long weekends!
Can't wait to see all of the great stuff you will do.
Yeah for you, Kim! An extra day is a very good thing and I love how ambitious you are! I work a 5/4 schedule - Five days one week and 4 days the next. All are 9 1/2 hour days with one day being an 8 1/2 hour day with every other Friday off. It works well for me although I end up doing more catching up on laundry and cleaning than I do crafting but still.... it's nice. I'm looking forward to what you create next.
That is great news! I already just work 2.5 days per week and it's still not enough time for all the projects that I would like to work on!
Have fun with your new found time and we'll look forward to seeing even more creativity from you :)
WOW! An extra day--I envy you and know you will make the best of it. Could you suggest a quilt book using charm packs and fat qtrs--I like traditional quilts. Thanks for your help

Those days are spent sleeping!
I rarely sleep before midnight, and arise at 5:30 daily. On my off days, I like to sleep.
If the dog and kids cooperate, I enjoy it immensely...but, rarely does everyone and evrything cooperate :-)
Yay!!!! I'm so excited for you! Also...I'm like REALLY STINKIN' EXCITED about what I see in that picture in the box...Moda Christmas fabric?!!!?? :)
i would love an extra day! Congrats to you for taking this step and can't wait to see the projects that you will do.
